Casual gamers are people who enjoy playing games, for a long period, that never looks at the gameplay and graphics.
Hardcore gamers, drool on whatever looks the biz, and are known as computer geeks. But who's a casual gamer, who likes a game of Metropolis Street Racer who thinks it's fun and looks good, and a Hardcore gamer, who looks at it and says, it looks good but it's nothing special!
I'm a casual gamer, i love games, all sorts of games but i hate beat em' ups the most because i always get confused with controls.....and i always lose!
Give me a Mario, Deus Ex or Final Fantasy and i'll get right into the game, without pointing out graphical hitches, except when i know a games been copied off another!

Then I'm not a casual gamer, I spend far too long/not long enough on this site. Damn it if I can't get a PS2 on launch, all Sony's fault for not giving them away free. mumble!
Anyone who's a regular on here is very unlikely to be a casual gamer otherwise you wouldn't waste your time talking about games.

I suppose they get the best games/consoles on their release date and normally tend to play their best games right through to the end.
They also are less likely to buy more than 1 fifa game a year.

Actually, she's worryingly good at fighting games and loves Soul Calibur. She also like N64 adventure games, but she's not a big games player.

She's just jealous, she's probably on it all day while you are at work, and very quickly saves her game when she hears your key in the lock, and then pretends to be cooking and mutes the pinger on the microwave. Mine was like that, till Final Fantasy VIII came out, then I divorced her.
I'm a casual gamer turning into a hardcore gamer. I can only play games when I'm not working or being nagged by the wife (so about 2 hours per week then!) but when I do, nothing can disturb me.
