"Ive been told you only get chicken pocks once..."

Well yesterday my doctor told me that ive got them,even thought i haven had chicken pocks scine i was 3.

Im confused,im the only one i know thats gotten it twice.When i was 3 i got it really bad but it went away so there no way i could have it now...

Its defenetly chicken pocks,ive got the itchy spots and everything.

I dont understand....

I had chicken pox at the age of 21. Damn painful it was. Had them in my eyes, mouth and all down my throat as well as over 40% of my body. I was damn sick.

Usually doctors just prescribe paracetamol but try and see if your doctor will give you the tablet form of Zovirax (yes I know its a cold sore cream) cos it helps a lot.

Failing that get a bumper bottle of calomine lotion and plenty of video games in..!

Small pox are a lot worse than chicken poxs.

Or so ive heard...

Maybe he got it wrong and it's small pox.......

maybe he hasn't reached puberty! lol! so the body changes haven't happened!

I think people get a bit mixed up. Men can't catch Chicken Pox when they've reached a certain age, something about the body changes to prevent them. Women, however, can.

Of course, men can get Shingles, which sounds a lot worse than it is (and to think, I thought they were just pebbles on a beach.)

Anyway, my sympathies are with you, I feel itchy just thinking about it!
