Apparently there are major cuts in the episodes shown on discs 5 and 6.
They will replace these discs for free and will re-release the boxsets with the changes.
Here is where to send your discs 5 and 6 but only send these, not the whole thing.

Phew. Good thing I'm selling mine on, and claiming it for free from SR (thank you). But I think I'll wait a while until they get a new shipment...and of course tell my mate he needs to send off for new DVDs =D

Tehy would have needed an extra disc to fit stuff on, and so they probably decided not too because that would have increased the cost and the packaging would also have been more difficult.

Just when I was about to go out and buy it as well. One of the only TV series box sets I want to get, and parts, no matter how short are missing. Oh well, I don't mind waiting, but I think Fox could have at least put a few extras in there, such making of feature.

ahhh, that would make sense actually. I know 90 seconds doesn't sound like much, but it could have explained some of the non-sequiturs in the plot. I did a hardcore 24 session, all the DVDs back-to-back and took around 18 hours. And when you do watch it like that you start to see that the plot isn't really that well thought through, but it doesn't matter because it maintains such a pace that you never dwell on anything long enough to pick it apart.

I didn't think the ending was too good, and it's my guess that the missing footage is from the last episode.

Ah, no need, just found it,

If there is only 90 seconds missing from each disc then I'm somewhat reluctant to send two DVDs away, wait four-five weeks and hope Fox don't screw up.......
