My US cube works wiv my UK TV. :) the colours there and the sounds pretty much perfect. :)

The picturew is all jumpy and I'm wondering if this is just tuning probs. When i checked the TV specs it did say "NTSC compatible." So its just tuning, right?

If he prefers the GameCube, let him have one, don't force him to buy a PS2. Mistakes can be made by everyone, that doesn't make them muppets.

use the fine tuning thing so you can get it just right , also , are you using the RF adaptor ? the us gamecube doesn't like these and the picture is poor when you use one , make sure your using a scart lead or something other than the RF lead or the composite cable as thats not the best either.

is your tv running in 60hz mode? Check the manuel, you might need to change it from 50 (normal) to 60 yourself.

and try to re-tune it
