I've recently purchased Broken Sword and have had The Sims for quite a while (plus all the expansion packs up to Vacation). Well, I've been experiencing problems with both of them, and if anyone could help, it would be greatly appreciated.

1. When I install Broken Sword, the colours are 'corrupted' and look very.. odd. I'm using Windows XP and have Direct X 8.1 installed. My screen resolution's 800 X 600, and I've tried the suggested high resolution and also the low resolution. It's not working. The discs aren't scratched, so does anyone know how I can make it work?

2. On The Sims Vacation, sometimes the game shuts down and returns to the desktop for no reason at all, and I have to restart it. Also, sometimes the sound goes completely and when I pick up an item, there's no information displayed. Also, when I go downtown there's no locations to visit and there's no way I can see of getting back to the neighborhood. I then have to restart my computer.

Can anyone help? A number to call? A website? Thanks.

For Broken Sword you could try changing your sysetm colours, right click on desktop go to properties and change the coulor bit to the one suggested on the back of the box, that should work.

As for The Sims that sounds like an error with the version of your game, try donwloading the latest Sims patch for the game you are trying to run, that should iron out the errors. To find the patch go to www.google.com and type in 'latest patch'.

If neither of those work just ask again and I will have a serach at some of my system files and see what might be the problem. If you would like to discuss this further add me to your MSN list:

Hope this helps!
