'Twas indeed

I just told my friends I left at 6am because I was sick of not being able to sleep (they know I'm a light sleeper, and that they snore) and caught a metro. Didn't mention the whole 4 hour walk, heh

Probably the time I was at my mate's house warming party, at his flat. Excellent night, but we all had to sleep over. And there was 8 of us, with one bed and one sofa, in a TINY flat. Anyway, I was totally lashed (got lashed on Bud, then kept drinking with Stella. Bad idea) and couldn't sleep (my head was pounding, I felt ill, and my friends were snoring)

So, I decided I'd try and walk home. At 2am. Miles and miles away from my house. Miles away from anywhere I recognised.

Of course once I was out of the flat, there was no going back, since I couldn't get back in (not without waking everyone up, and they looked dead enough to sleep through a nuclear bomb)

The only way I could get home would be to walk along the metro tracks until I arrived at Benton metro station (right by my house)

Let me tell you, it's almost a half an hour journy when you're on the metro going 80mph. As a drunk, stumbling around, you can imagine how long it would take.

I almost managed to go the wrong way, as I was so drunk I wasn't sure which side of the metro station I had got off at on the way to his flat (both sides looked the same) Something stopped me walking, and I turned around and went the other way (can't for the life of me think what it was) but I'm glad it did, as I ended up going the right way. Maybe it was my common sense, I dunno, I was too drunk to remember, heh

Anyway, because it was 2am, it was pitch black and FREEZING (being that it was winter) so I had to feel my way along the wall going through a long tunnel, which cut my hand up pretty bad. Walking on coal/tracks is also very difficult, as it's impossible to get into a steady pattern. You stumle every three or so steps, so it takes AGES to get anywhere.

At about half 5 the metros started back up again. That's right, I'd been walking over 3 and a half hours. Well, stumbling, not walking, heh. So I jumped on one of the metros, and rode the final couple of stops home (would've taken me almost another hour to walk it)

I've never been so glad to see my street, and when I got in at about 6am, I was still drunk! Heh

I went to bed and fell asleep, didn't get up till about 2am

That night sucked
