"What's the most over hyped game on the gamecube??"

It might of been done before, but what do you think is the most over hyped game on the cube so far. To be honest i think Pikmin was, we waited ages for that creative game to come out and i thought it was difficult, boring and to be honest, tedious. This is my opinion. :)

I was actually very impressed with Super Smash Bros. Melee's one player mode, and I play it more than vs. mode.

THE game to own the console for? Yeah right.

That would be monkey ball. Which quite frankly rules.

For me.

Smash Bros Melee' and Pikmin.

Both did nothing for me sadly.

The problem with Smash Brothers is that it was written by journalists who share an office with lots of other gamers.

Because of this, they could play as much multiplayer as they liked.
Because of this multiplayer alone, I'd probably choose it over Mario and Zelda.
The thing is, as much as they enjoyed it, not EVERY one has the same access to gamesplayers like they do, and they forgot to consider that when hyping it to heaven and back.

I have 2 gaming brothers so multiplayer also works well in my house.
Therefore, in my house, the game lived up to its hype.

Problem is most of you don't have such easy access to multiplayer gaming, and are stuck with only the single player mode (which ALL the criticisms have been aimed at!).

The single player mode is sort of fun, but only as practice for the real thing.


I think SR could solve this problem by bringing a new product onto the market.

The "Gamesplayer" would be trained gamesplayer (not sure what creatures they'd use, orphans or monkeys...), trained to play games...
Basically, an RI (REAL intelligence!;-)) unit to spice up multiplayer games.


You could keep it in a cage, hanging from the ceiling, between games...

Mario Sunshine and Resident Evil aren't even out yet, so I think it's a bit unfair people are saying they're overhyped. Wait until they're out.

I'd say Super Monkey Ball. The amount of people that have recommended it to me is enormous, and now I've got it, it's 'ok' but not really great.

What's wrong with Mario Sunshine?

resi evil 1 or SSBM would be mine.
I`m not a fan of resi evil but i still like it, so every time one is released i think to myself would i buy it if it was a diffrent name.
Anyway i feel it was over hyped because of the name and graphics, a name is just a name and the graphics are brill but they didnt make the "game" better just the veiw you see it in.
As for SSBM yes its good but the boring 1 player means this game is was only played once i got all characters and levels and then when mates come over.

As for pikmin ok its not the best but its still good and i dont think it was that hyped, i heard of it once before release then on luigis mansion and then the review.

I don't think it's that over-hyped, but Super Smash Bros. Melee wasn't as good as I thought it would be, in my opinion.
