Is there any way I can make a 'text' or HTML drop down menu? or side drop down menu thingy? The only ones I found with either:

or DHTML which only works in IE4+ NS6+ which isn't very good.
I don't want to make them in Flash due to loading times, anyother ideas?

thanks in advance.

DHTML isn't JS per say. DHTML describes a set of methods/tools for creating dynamic documents. Those being HTML, CSS, DOM and a scripting language. The scripting language can either be JS or VBscript.
I don't think there is any official definition of DHTML anyway.

Yeah, my site did use rollover menus, but it did have other forms of navigation as well. The site is down at the moment whilst I move hosts and redesign it.

nice site Nimco, didn't your knight-sites website have drop-down menus too?

also, Ben, I don't want to use forms for the drop-down menu, someone mentioned a really good one sometime back (hungry hippos or something) that was what I had in mind.
Also I didn't know DHTML was JS, i'm still pretty sure they're different or they have different functions but i'll take your word for it.

erm, andi, JS is DHTML.

i made a site which uses a dropdown menu for navigation. It's not a particularly good site so no comments please. Feel free to steal the code for it.

...ok, i've kinda given up on the idea, I can't find one that works on less than IE4 or NS4 which isn't good although I doubt anyone uses anything less than that.
