So Gamecube goes online with broadband and modem at October the 3rd. I hadn't anything about this before so it seems Nintendo were keeping it under wraps, and I certainly wans't expecting it to be released so soon.

So I reckon these rumours of Nintendo games going online may well be true. Gamecube goes online before the end of this year, so that is more than enough time for future games lime Mario Kart and Perfect Dark to have online multi-player modes? Dontcha think?

After all, Nintendo have (I think) surprised us with such an early launch of online gaming, so maybe they (and esspecially Rare) have been keeping these future games, PD, Mario Kart, Kameo, DKR etc. secret because they will be going online too?

Discuss :)

Perhaps. However we are all to aware of Nintendos reluctancy to putting their toe in the water. I think perhaps Nintendo will be looking at 2nd and 3rd party developers to test the water first, before they commit to any online features in their games.

Well it was pretty darn obvious it wouldn't happen in Europe until later, but look at X-box live, thats been put back to next year for Europe.

But the point was, with Nintendo going online so soon, theres plenty of time for them to implement online features into their forth coming games.

Haha! Excellent. If this is really well done, then it could give Nintendo the break they need to catch up with Sony.

It says that there are plans for Nintendo to support anyone who wants to go online, and that they will be selling modems. It doesn't mention any games, nor does it actually mention any details. It's good to know Nintendo are thinking about it, but they could have been more specific with their plans.

Yes it does, it tells us Nintendo are going online before the end of the year. Which means, if you use your head, theres a damn good chance of future blocbuster games like Mario Kart and Perfect Dark going online. Fool.
