Initial impressions were very good - excellent presentation in menu's etc and pretty good voice acting. However, when the screen switched the race line-up, I was a little disappointed at first. The tracks lacked detail and lots of textures were quite bland, not to mention a jaggy appearance overall.
When the race actually begun, I was finding it a little difficult than I would of expected. However, I later realised this was because I was using the handbrake at corners rather than the brakes! Certainly explains why the wheels were locking up so quickly! :P
Before I got stuck into the career mode, I did a few free races to get used to the cars, tracks and generally mess about! May I just take this opportunity to say the A.I. is FAR better than that of GT3. I'm pretty sure, although I can't be 100% certain, that not only will a driver try and avenge your dirty tactics against him (smashing him to the outside of the corner), so will his teammates! Trust me, you'll get to first place in no time if you use them as high-speed bumpers going around corners, but if they catch up with you, look out!
I've just opened the Power Tier, which is sort of the next difficulty level and you immediately notice a LOT more oomf under your bonnet, as well as the opposition.
The game just keeps getting better!
P.S. The game features many women with large breasts.
P.P.S. The screenshots on the box and in adverts are definately from the PC version.
I'll be back with 'first impressions' type postings in about, umm, 24 hours.
