"We turn to face the storm," Grant sang on closing song 'Slow Burn', "Just a sign of light to bring us home.." and tonight, that's exactly what Feeder did. The Wedgewood rooms seemed smaller than ever, and far more intimate than last time Feeder played here - namely December 2000 for the Echo Park warm-ups. The 400 capacity room was over spilling with fans, family and friends for what was in effect the band's comeback gig. And what an electrifying gig it was. Walking onstage to a thunderous reception, Grant and Taka were joined by long time collaborator Dean Tidey on guitar duties and Matt Sime of course, handing keyboards and samples. Also present was Mark Richardson, hitting them, as they say, f***ing hard. "You might have admired his previous work in another band...." Grant joked on the introductions "...Take That!"

It seems so obvious now - they open with "We Can't Rewind" - a bold statement before, and now a Feeder ethos and blast their way through new and old songs with the kind of enthusiasm they had when they first started - joking and laughing on stage, with both Taka and Grant as animated as ever "I can't tell you how good it is to be back" he said at several points through the evening.

Emotional, electrifying but above all fun, as friends on stage revelled in being back at what they do best - namely playing their songs live to an audience who love them and taking comfort in the sound. A solitary school tie hung around Grant's mic said more than words ever could. The enthusiasm of the audience showing how much they'd missed their heroes. "We f***ing love you Feeder!" came a cry from the crowd in between songs. The world is without doubt a better place with Feeder in it

It was a great experience Feeder absolutely rocked i would recomend going to see them in one of the upcoming festivals, seeing as Portsmouth was a warm up gig they are going to bring the place down at Reading if your not going go

Yup Feeder Rock, seeing them live is excellent, unlike most poncy bands they sound a lot better compared to what you hear on CD.

Go Feeder!
