Imagine if a supermarket was dedicated just to selling games? This topic gives an idea on what it would be like if your current Asda stocked up on nothing but games. Here is the tour. First of all, we walk through the main entrance to come across:

FRESH FRUIT
This will be where we sell the freshest games to hit the market. Have a bite of a juicy TOCA race driver or a munch on our mafia maple. You can even try the tasty Turok Evolution. They’re guaranteed fresh for at least a week which then we’ll get a new load in. Enjoy!
We then find ourselves heading for the snack foods.

SNACKS
Here we will find tasty treats but only enough to fill you until the main snack. Nibble on some X-box, Nintendo or PS2 demos or with our special offer, why not purchase all three. Guaranteed to keep the little ones busy until the main course.
We’ve stocked up on fresh fruit and snacks so now for some Drink.

TOP SHELVE/BOOZE
This aisle is over 18’s only so it’s a no-no for those not old enough. Except to find games here by the names of Grand Theft Auto or house of the dead 3. Gather those shot glasses but don’t have too much at once cause you may not be able to handle it.
Now the adults are catered for, it’s back to the kids.

KIDDIES CORNER
We enter this area and are bombarded by Barney and friends. Their annoyance makes me want to lash out. Here games like Tweenies and hoobs are on display. We grab Teletubbies and are on our way to the frozen section.

FROZEN GOODS
Everything is half price here as they try and flog off their crap stock frozen away to never be seen again until some unsuspecting victims come along. Except to see games like cubix and tintin.
I throw some games into my basket and we move to the TV and videos section

HI FI
After a night of games I want to watch some DVDs to give my hands a rest. (No comments please; D) While I’m here I can also buy a new console since the last one blew up. A pick up an X-box with a 24 box set and I’m on my way to the checkout.

CHECKOUT
The queue is long but since we only have 12 items we go to the express till. We pay cash in hand and I’m on my way to the car when I release I need to pre-order some games.

CUSTOMER SERVICES
I ask for a form to pre-order GTA: vice city. I show my ID (why, I don’t know?) and am given a form. I fill out my details including my phone number so they can contact me, and then I’m on my way out the exit after another day’s good shopping.

So wouldn’t it be great if there were supermarkets like this, I imagine it would be a very expensive shop but we all know gaming is an expensive business. If every supermarket were like this, there would be no need for SR heaven; we would already be there. (Sorry for the Simpson’s pun; D)
