Phantasy star online testing has been completed and is ready to go, its got a release date of 12 september in Japan and 30 October in USA, and as of yet no uk release, and it probably wont be released for a long time.
Why? because of BT's and the governments lack lustre efforts in getting the UK equiped with Broadband internet access.
Even though it is becoming more avialable, many people are still unable to get it and the cost is on average more than double that of current internet access. (The dreamcast was a classic example of this, as the online facility was never available)
Because of this nintendo wont release phantasy star online until they see great imrpovements. They could release it soon but the quality of online play with dial up connections would be so slow it wouldnt do the game justice and would probably be very ssllllloooooowwwww.
So not only do we have to wait for normal games to be released months after Japan and the USA, we will now have t wait to play groun breaking games like these.
(unless you want to shell out £35 + each month, and even the broadband on offer in the uk has been plauged by problems)
