Gaming is something that you might consider to be a weekend pastime or something you might do for an hour or so when there’s nothing on TV, but no it’s much more than that.
Gaming is a world-wide phenomena, gaming is a thing which has taken the world by storm and is taking up the world-wide market like wildfire. That’s why gaming has its own separate market because the world market just would be able to cope with the huge demands that gaming brings.
As the need for video games grows some companies can hardly keep up with modern day gaming requirements.
What are those requirements you might ask.
Well we need Fast machines, powerful machines affordable machines (Looks hopefully towards Bill Gates) And most importantly originality, because without originality consoles and there games would be a bore and it would be a bit like watching repeats of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.
Of course it’s not only the consoles that must have a certain degree of originality it’s the games to. Lets face it I don’t think that we’d want to be playing games of the same genre all the time and we don’t want to many sequels either because then gaming would be boring.
We don’t mind the odd prequel but too many would just be silly.
Without originality everybody would loose interest in gaming and gaming would eventually die out.
Pc gaming is also something that is taking the world by storm.
Pc gaming also takes up a considerable portion of the gaming market.
Over the past couple of years the interest in PC gaming has grown dramatically.
Online gaming though seems to be the main interest point in pc gaming at the moment. in online gaming will take a sharp jump.
Who knows maybe online gaming will eventually lead to the downfall of games consoles in years to come.
That’ll be quite far into the future though I’d imagine.
Developers such as Microsoft and Sony will soon be launching their online gaming.
When this happens a whole new porthole will be opened up into the world of gaming.
We will be able to play various games such as Halo with people from the other side of the world.
Who knows one day you might be playing a Final Fantasy Game with Bill Gates without even knowing it, now that’s a scary thought.
Gaming offers many prospects and many weird and wonderful variations, and as our interest in gaming grows so will our need for new weird and wonderful ideas.
I’m sure developers such as Nintendo will come to nurture our demanding needs, just like they’ve always done.
As long as people know that consoles will go online i see no reason why they would jump ship to go to what is generally considered to be a more complicated format. When was the last time you got a blue screen of death when loading up a game on your PS2/Gamecube/Xbox/whatever?
