If you foolishly missed the last episode of 24 last nignt you missed one of the best endind to a drama ever and guess what even better news there is going to be another series next year.

Here is a quick rundown of the story last night if you missed it. Or alteratively log on to www.fox.com/24/guide where i got this from and read it there.

11:00 P.M.

As Kim hides among the docks at the port, Andre orders his men to keep searching for her. He wonders whether she has drowned. Kim then runs to the highway, and flags down a trucker for help.

As the media surround the hotel trying to verify reports of Palmer's death, Sherry doggedly persists in wanting to disclose the truth. Palmer
remains adamant about protecting Jack's daughter.

At CTU, Mason receives a call from the highway patrol about a girl who claims to be Jack's daughter. Mason speaks to Kim, and she confirms her escape. Her father is in danger if he goes to the port. Mason orders a tactical team as Jack's backup, and he has the police bring Kim to CTU. Nina listens carefully to the unfolding events.

Jack pulls up to the port, and gingerly approaches the warehouse with his gun at the ready. The cell phone he is carrying rings. It is Andre, who says he has Kim. Jack demands to speak to her, but Andre first wants to meet. Jack refuses. Andre tells Jack that they know that Palmer is still alive. He threatens to kill Kimberly, and Jack hangs up abruptly. Andre is forced to tell Victor that Jack is not coming.

After learning that the Drazens know about Palmer, Jack calls Nina to say he is certain that someone in CTU is feeding the Drazens information. Only she, Tony, Mason and Ryan Chapelle know that Palmer is alive. Jack asks
her to find out which one is the mole. Jack tells her that the Drazens want to trade him for Kimberly, and he plans to confront them directly.
Nina doesn't let on that Kim is actually safe. When she hangs up the phone, she notices that Mason has been watching her.

11:11 P.M.

Chief of Staff Mike Novick states that the turmoil of the last day has actually helped Palmer uncover his real character. They watch as a
television newscast reports that the candidate is still alive. Palmer is sure that Sherry leaked this information to the press, and he rushes to her. Palmer is about to strike his wife before Novick steps in to urge him to talk to the press. Palmer turns his rage instead to a vase, sending it
shattering.

11:17 P.M.

Nina phones Andre with news that Kimberly is being brought in to CTU. Jack has no idea of the circumstances, and CTU backup is on its way to the port. Andre fears for his father's safety and wants to make a quick exit. Yet Victor orders Nina to tell Jack that Kimberly is dead. This will cause Jack to come after them. That will allow them an opening to kill him. Nina alerts Jack that Kim's body was found in the water. Jack hangs up, saddened. His thoughts turn to revenge as he slides a fresh clip into his gun and breaks into a nearby van.

11:20 P.M.

Although Andre is doubtful that the plan will work, Victor is confident that Jack will come after them. Suddenly, Jack plows the van through the
warehouse wall. Andre and his men are taken by surprise, and they fire at the moving vehicle. Jack bursts out the back door of the van and kills the
guards. Andre and Victor run off to meet an approaching boat. Jack fires, and kills Andre. Victor shoots back and wounds Jack in the side. When he goes to take a second shot, Victor finds that his chamber is empty. Jack gets up and advances toward Victor. Victor raises his hands in surrender, and Jack pauses. Then Jack fires round after round, and Victor's dead body falls into the water. Jack runs out of bullets, but still keeps pulling the trigger in anger. The Drazens' boat speeds away. Jack drops to his knees, as CTU helicopters are heard approaching in thedistance.

11:28 P.M

Palmer makes a public statement apologizing for any misunderstanding about his death. He assures the press that he and his family were safe amid the chaotic situation. Novick goes to Sherry to tell her that Palmer wants to meet with her downstairs. Novick suggests that she take this as an opportunity to patch things up with her husband.

11:31 P.M.

Nina listens as Mason informs his staff that Jack took down the Drazens. When he gives Teri the good news, she goes looking for Nina. Nina,
however, has slipped out to the CTU's transformer room. She shoots a suspicious worker, and then removes a laptop from a hidden
safe. Nina makes a call on her cell phone, and speaking in German, informs someone that she has been compromised. Teri walks in and hears her speaking German. Teri's suspicion passes quickly as she tries to glean information about Jack and Kimberly's wellbeing. Nina assures her that they are all safe. Nina's cell phone rings, and Teri waits as she takes the call. Yet Teri notices a pool of blood on the floor, and her intuition kicks in. She backs out of the room, but Nina stops her at the door. She locks Teri in the room at gunpoint and tapes up her mouth.

11:35 P.M

At the port, Jack asks a Coast Guard officer if he can see the body they found in the water because it was his daughter. The officer calls the
harbor master and learns that no body had been found. Jack climbs in his SUV and speeds away from the crime scene. He calls Mason, who confirms that Kimberly is safe. Jack demands that Mason arrest Nina because she is working with the Drazens. Mason wants evidence for such a strong charge, and Jack vows to get him proof. He asks that, in the meantime, Mason keep an eye on Nina.

11:42 P.M.

Jack requests a CTU analyst named Paul Wilson to pull up the security camera footage from when Jamey Farrell committed suicide. Wilson finds
that the footage had been erased earlier that day. Jack gives Wilson a clearance code to access the video's digital backup.

11:43 P.M.

Sherry goes down to meet with Palmer privately. He says that he never wants to see her again, and he doesn't care what it will do to his candidacy. He believes she is unfit to be First Lady. Despite Sherry's claims that he needs her to win, Palmer walks away from his marriage.

11:46 P.M.

Wilson uploads the security camera footage to the monitor in Jack's car. Jack sees Nina on the tape. She has killed Jamey and planted evidence
to suggest it was a suicide. Jack has Wilson send the footage to Mason for proof to arrest Nina.

11:53 P.M

In the transformer room, Nina sees that a CTU emergency lockdown has shut her computer access. An alarm sounds throughout the building. She urgently phones her contact, and he orders her to go to Munich and remain untraceable. Nina tells Teri that she is locking her in from the outside, but that everything will be fine. Nina pulls out her gun and decides what to do. A guard spots Nina leaving the transformer room, and she shoots him. Nina darts into an elevator, and kills another CTU security guard when she arrives at the garage. Nina gets into her car and drives toward the exit. Suddenly, another car approaches her. It is Jack. She fires at his windshield, and he shoots back as they drive headfirst toward each other. At the last moment, Nina swerves and slams into a parked car. Jack pulls her out of the car and places his gun at her temple. She claims to not be working for Drazen. Yet if he kills her, he won't find out whom she works for. Mason, Tony and others approach, warning Jack that they need Nina alive. They goad Jack to go back inside to be with his family. Although he wants more than anything to pull the trigger, he relents and lowers his gun. Mason takes Jack into the office, as Tony watches Nina being led away in handcuffs.

11:58 P.M.

Jack happily greets Kimberly, and assures her that their nightmare is over. When she asks for Teri, Jack leaves her to go find his wife. In the
background, a television reports that Jack is credited with saving Senator Palmer's life.

11:59 P.M.

Jack follows the wake of dead CTU guards that Nina left in her path. He enters the transformer room and finds Teri with bullet wounds in her abdomen. He picks up her lifeless body and collapses to his knees. As Jack cradles his dead wife, he breaks down in grief and sorrow.

That's funny 24 is currently one of the most popular series on tv because it refreshing to watch and modern in the format and the way it is filmed. The X-files has been going over the same ground for so many years and so predictable, also it is so far fetched that people can't be bothered to watch it any more. That's why the ratings have dropped so considerably because no-one gives and anymore.

X-Files Vs 24.
24 is just so zzzzzzzzzzz, ah is it over - o no a double episode, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. X-File's is at the end of the story line, but it's still much better than 24.

As far as I am concern 24 can replace the X-Files because that program died the minute they found out what the truth was.

A good ending for X tremley tedious files would be if Dogit got killed by Arnie the terminator, what the hell just gun them all down now they know the truth.

24 should have been a BBC Choice exclusive. That way i wouldn't have it blocking up my BBC2 listings. Or another way of looking at it, is that it could get more people to go digital if it were BBC Choice only.
