"GTA Vice City Question"

Is it right that Vice City and all of the GTA sequels to follow are going to be exclusive to PS2, not any other format especially not PC?

I'm hoping for the answer to be yes, becuase a load of my PC-lovin' friends always argue with me that the PC is better than the PS2 - blah blah blah.

But if this is true then it might just shut them up for a while.

no XBOX people will be getting GTA3 or vice city now :D

Well - first party should stay first party. I won't be buying any of the RE games, but I'd snap up a GTA if it came to GC. It's just, X-Box and GC versions could be so much better, and it's the loss of that that irritates me.

Ah well, it's just business I suppose.

The GTA series is exclusive to PS2, but the deal does not cover PC - it is only exclusive on console formats, which is why GTA3 was released on PC *after* the deal was signed.

There's not really any point being 'irritated' at Rockstar, unless you're also 'irritated' at all the others who retain exclusive deals... such as Capcom with Resident Evil now exclusive to Gamecube, the deals companies have signed with Microsoft, and of course all of Nintendo's exclusive products too.

If they can do it, why shouldn't Rockstar/Sony?

To tell you the truth, I think the more people that play decent games the better. I'm irritated that Rockstar signed such a terrible deal when the could almost triple their income by going multi-format.

Umm.... anyone else of the opinion that gaming should be about enjoying good games and perhaps sharing the fun, either on playing level or on a verbal level with your pals?

Sony announced a 2 year deal at E3 that all future GTA games including Vice City would be exclusive to the PS2 for that period. After that, Rockstar are sure to release them for PC and other platforms.
