For exams I got £200 from parents... (A = £50, B = £30, C = £10) which means I got £210 but dad put limit... I don't think they ahd faith in me now they need to pay out MWAH HA HA.

I have about £40 in the bank and my aunt is giving me £80 because she also had little faith in me and now needs to pay out.

Thats £320 so far... and my gran's are going to give me money too as well.

I feel guilty but heh they want to give me money.

So anyway from SR I can get the PS2 Fire Pack for £235

Which has:

PS2
2 dual shock controllers
8MB memory card
DVD remote and scart lead

Then when I renew my membership I'll get vertical stand and use spare GAD to buy me a game.

I'll think about it (more) :)

My parents only mentioned they'd give me money AFTER I had done my exams which was weird

Dad got promotion and said I deserved money for working 3 months solid :)

Incidentally, I bought my PS2 firepack last September, with the money I'd earned doing a "cheap" website for a friend in the US, now when I say cheap - we're talking £550 pay... so not bad. ;)

If you can design websites, use it, will earn you a packet. If you can't, learn, takes a few days tops (plenty of tutorials available online, if you want HTML commands just enter "HTML commands" (including quotations) into google.com, viewing the source code of websites you're visiting helps too). Combine that with whatever menial job you're inflicting on yourself, and you'll actually be earning something worthwhile. ;)

Was never offered anything remotely close to rewards or incentives for getting grades when I was at college... but that was a while back now.

I suppose its more widespread nowadays because kids are insistant they see a material reward for working, not understanding their grades are liable to get them a job that earns sh*tloads if they do well, which I'd much rather have than a couple of notes I can earn myself anyway.

All my friends with jobs can spend over £300 in a month. That's more money than I've ever had in my life, and to part with it in that short a time would depress me.

My mum bought me a game once - Jedi Knight 2 - after I got full marks for German. Now I have to get them myself. I don't get money for exams/tests even if I get more 100%s.

I'll get a bit of money from my parents (obviously more if I'd scored higher, curse my laziness which caused me to not work hard) and I have £200 lying around, and £200 in an account. I'll either get a PS2 or keep saving for a moped (mopeds rule)

They actually forced me to take money... I feel really guilty and spoiled but at the same time feel rich and happy.

My parents never spoil me though... except from Christmas sometimes.

Most people here make parents buy them consoles and games on day of release and stuff and they're usually little gits.

I got zilch for my exam results, I maybe got a pat on the back. I got A's B's C's and I was expected to do crap too.

I deserved more praise I reckon. Gah :)
