Anyone remember Metroid on the SNES? She's coming back!!!
Talk here about what you would like to see in the new Metroid Prime game on the Gamecube, and make suggestions to what could've been improved in Metroid for the SNES.

Bah, I forgot what I was going to say - how annoying is that?

What I do remember is that I was going to say that Samus sucked in SSBM :-D

I'll still miss Samus.

Stupid Nintendo put one of their most stylish characters in a game where you can barely see her!

It'll be a pity not being able to do those fantastic jumping moves from Super Metroid, but Metroid Prime will a fine game in it's own right.

In the meantime, she kicks-ass in Super Smash Brothers Melee!

Sorry, there was an error in my previous message. Where I said "Samus might not be the star of the show in Metroid Prime" that should be:
"Samus might not be the star of the show in Metroid Fusion"(The GBA game)
So who here would like to see a link-up mode on the GBA Metoid?

Rumour has it that the star of the show in Metroid Prime isn't Samus!
Now whether this is a good thing or a bad thing I'll let you decide, but I think Samus should at least star in the game somehow...
Back to Metroid Prime however, It's really cool how when fire is in front of Samus you can actually see her face reflect on her visor, and you can analyse every enemy, which I think is cool and futuristic(I think thats what the designers are looking for)

Would there be any link between this JC and 'our' JC, who's not been about for a bit?

And yeah, metroid. Maybe, if turok, timesplitters and die hard all fall behind in the goodness stakes.

When I saw what they had done to Samus, I was thinking it wouldn't be possible to bring back Metroid in 3D, but this looks to be a real classic, no doubt about it. I seriously can't wait for Metroid Fusion on the GBA either!!! I will definatly shell out £40 for the Gamecube masterpiece...online Metroid anyone!?

Samus was the sole survivor of some planetary invasion when she was a child, and then she used the now famous suit invented by the people of Planet Zebes, as well as having their blood... so I'm guessing she's ageless now. Although she looks like 20 in the picture in Metroid Prime

Hello new poeple of the forum, by the way. Both of you seem to have good grammar, which is a change from the "usual" new guys.

I concur. NGC TV disc 2 showed me Metroid in its slick moving glory. All it needs now is some real powerful uber beastlord guns and it should kick the crap out of any FPS ever!
