I am going to get broadband soon through BT. My question is will I be able to play online when Xbox live comes out? I only ask because Microsoft signed a deal with teleweast so I an not sure it its only available through them.
Both Cable and ADSL will be support by Xbox live. Microsoft wouldnt need to make any deal with anyone as they will provide the service for the Xbox, and you will have the subscription for normal Broadband internet use with your ISP.
i personally am gonna wait untill Microsoft come out with XBox live as a definat thing, mainly cause broadband will become cheeper then AND Microsoft might do an agreement thingy with BT or someone to broadband connection....
I have broadband with BT (ADSL) and I've already used my Xbox online (www.xbconnect.com ;-)).
But I'd imagine we'll also be able to use Live as well. I doubt microsoft will want to make access any more limited than it already is.

so does that mean if you have broadband with BT you will NOT be able to use xbox live?
Sure you can, any cable broadband service is compatible with xbox live. not usre about ADSL though.........
