I know that all game designers rely on 3D cards and high tech systems to make their newest hit game! but I have been making games with pixels, it's a lot of fun and it made me remeber the good old days and what games made me the computer freak I am now, all those excellent 2D games, scrolling screens and huge guns, killing fat men in hovering chairs and big tanks that shoot fire! I love 'em all, and it's not just the old ones, Commandos wa not made from polygons or anything hightech, well except for the neat pictures on the loading screens but ehy would have looked really bad in flat form(2D) it's gameplay I want and I know it's what you expect for your money, it's hard to see past the latest 3d game with all the flash new options and great gadgets but you have to try everything, it's the same kind of game, it was just made differently.

I am all for 2D.

My first gaming experience was a 2D sonic the hedgehog and I was hooked on it for hours and pesonaly if I don't like a game I won't be changed by how good it looks.

All for 2D say "I"

Another thing in favour of 2D is that u don't have to keep buying newer and newer (and more expensive ) 3D Cards.

No no no no. Winnie the Pooh was shot for treason to the country.

Really. He refused the blindfold as well. Poor Pooh.

sprite, pixel all the same thing, 2D instead of 3D, maybe i'll start a petition and get all games to be 2D!

The technique you described are 'Sprite' based games and there are still many being made on several platforms (PC: diablo2, Baldurs Gate 2, DC: Marvel vs Capcom 2).

BTW, you are right it is gameplay that counts and any experienced gamer will tell you the same.
