PSW is generally the worst. It gave frontline 10/10 even though its rifled with flaws. It said MS only intention is to make loads of money with Xbox(Duh, Sony and Nintendo want that too). A page marked "microstuffed" highlighted that wreakless, an Xbox only game is now being ported to PS2. They failed to mention the litterly dozens of once PS2 only games being ported to Xbox, odd that. They refuse to give games anything below 6/10, even the right stinkers. I have forgotten the other examples I made a mental note of as being crap, but I assure you there were plenty.
I read another mag, I think it was Play(not sure), it awarded Dark Summit 80%. OXM gave the game 3.5/10 which is spot on as I played the demo and its pure s**t.
Many reak of fanboyishness, overrate generally all games and I found PSW to be a bad read too.

"Table ball games don't work that well on a TV screen. And this is very much pool-lite, lacking the polish of a modern PS2 title. But then what do you want for 15 sheets?"
City Crisis

"It's OK as far as arcade games go, but you wouldn't want to stick more than a few quid in it at your local coin-oppery. And as for spending £40, it's your money, but we'd advise you to not."
Armoured Core 2: Another Age

"Upsetting as it is, a few will love this - it's the best armoured core so far. But for everyone else, useless controls, cumbersome bots and general complication will be a massive turn off."
King's Field: The Ancient City
Overall Score: 3
"A pitiful attempt at the more traditional Tolkien inspired role-playing game that results in one of the dullest experiences on PS2. Avoid like anyone who claims to be called Merlin."
Circus Maximus
Overall Score: 5
"It's not so much that the fighting/racing combination doesn't work, more that each element lacks the depth needed to really work as either a racing or a fighting game."
Sorry? You were saying? I lost the point of your post after the first line of bull. :p
Thats just the in-mag' reviews too, they've had some really derrogatory things to say about games being reviewed on the DVD, and even more examples of low scores in the review database included on each month's disc up till recently where they've just listed the top 50.
PSW is the only really decent PS2 mag' there is, its an independant venture which means no publisher telling you what you can say, and what you can't and also means no payoffs. They even have a nice section this month belittling the pathetic companies that send them PR junk to try and butter them up for reviews, and are giving it all away as some compo' prize.
I prefer that, with a nice DVD full of previews and reviews voiced by someone who knows what they're tlaking about, than reading Official PS2 which will give fluffy reviews to anything and everything Sony has graced their unworthy mits with... don't give a hoot whether the OPS2 DVD is mostly playable demos, I prefer seeing the games in action and hearing the views of an unbiased group, before I even waste the time playing the demo.
If I want fanboy tosh I'll go read something like that... so long as I still have my senses about me, I think I'll stick with my PSW mag' that delivers absolutely no sugar coating for games that deserve to be named and shamed.
