I had a SNES. Got it in the first week it was released. Played SuperMarioWorld. It was fantastic! The next game I bought was Street Fighter 2, a US version, with a Universal Adapter. Cost me about £80, but I felt it was worth it at the time. Built up quite a collection of games after this, some good, some bad, here are some of the better ones:
Mario Kart
Bomberman
Shadowrun
Chrono Trigger
Street Fighter 2 Turbo
ISS
Kevin Keegan Player Manager
Donkey Kong Country
Zombies

I remember having my snes, I didn't have many games as I was borrowing the games off friends, but after giving it to my sister after I got a playstation (about 5 years ago) she "lost it" and I kinda regreted ever giving it to her, but out of the blue she finally found it and I'm gonna be picking it up over christmas playing those wonderful classics that no other console has!
I'm playing my PS2 at the moment but I'm looking forward to getting my Snes back!
So far the only games I have for it are:
Street Racer
Donkey Kong Country (limited edition with music CD)
F-Zero
Starwing
Can't remember the rest until I get it back lol!
I'm going to try and get Final Fantasy 6, it's a truly amazing title!
But hey I have coursework to do now so that's my 2 pence worth!

donkey kong country cheats, anyone??
i know a cheat for dk country, when you watch cranky at the beginning on his rocking chair, press down, y, down, down, y. then you can get to play all the games with the animals.
also for 50 lives:
when you select a file, highlight erase game. press b, a, r, r, a, l and you will hear a noise. play a file and you will start with 50 lives. to remember the cheat easier, the buttons are spelt into "barral", easy enough??
e-mail me for any problems with snes game etc.
my address is [email protected]
cheers for reading my cheats 4 dk country.

I regret so much getting rid of my SNES. I sold it ages ago without thinking it might have some value in years to come. I just wish I still had it with all the games, I would love to play it now.

I remember the day I got it. The reason - STREET FIGHTER II - Which I still rank as one of the best games ever made. What I couldnt believe was how identical it was to the arcade version, every graphical detail, every move, every sound effect, and not forgeting the awesome sound tracks. I spent every hour of every day I could on this game, I wanted to be the best SF player ever (I must have been about 10-11 at the time). Things got better once Street Fighter II Turbo was released. It kind of took over my life from there on.
Super Mario Kart and F-Zero took my breath away the first time I saw them, using the incredible Mode 7 engine. Mario Kart in particular was one of my favourites, still a classic.
Super Tennis was I suppose the Virtua Tennis of its time. The gameplay was as good as it got. That was one incredibly addictive title.
Super Soccer dont remember much about it apart from the great penalty shoot outs. ISS was the footie game to own back then as much as it is now.
Can anyone remember Killer Instinct, wasnt that a Rare title? Again the graphics were what first caught my attention, but the combos you could pull off were just unreal.
Then there was Donkey Kong Country. Really showed what the SNES could do. This was up there with the best of them. I only got the first for some reason missed out on the sequels, but it so challenging and a visual treat to look at. I will have to get the Game Boy Color version soon just to remember the good old days.
I cant remember much about the other titles I had. Super Mario World is just a blur to me now, cant remember it at all. Super Mario All Stars I always remember one review I had read in a mag gave it 100%, probably the only game to score total perfection. Unfortunately I dont remember anything about Zelda A Link to the Past, Yoshi's island or Super Star Wars. Damn!!

Anyway I could kick myself for selling it, what I would give to just have it back. Oh well got a PS2 coming next week, which in years to come Im sure I will be talking about just like Im talking about my old SNES now!!
