ive played this game for ages now, have downloaded all the maps and the patches, and am now qute bored, but i wouldnt mind if anyone could tell me where ui couyld download weapons? i have seen my friends mini flak cannons, but he got them on a floppy... anyone know where i can find it?

Probably, if not just skin some yourself if your half decent at Photoshop. Dont look at me though because I'm more into the modelling side of things =)
You can download seperate weapon skins for counter-strike, can the same not be done for UT?

yeah, tactical ops makes unreal tournament loads better, great weapons like :
the ak47
streyr aug
mp5
uzi
shotgun
etc.
The only bad thing is you don't get any explosives except silly grenades.
Another good one, with weird weapons (like the awesome quantum singularity generator)in is the U4e (Unreal 4 Ever) patch. You can download both at the best unreal site (in my opinion)

weapons have u tried playing tactical ops yet @ www.tactical-ops.to new game using the UT engine.
