First off, the Police Academy series. You think I'm joking? Seriously, think about it. Each character had a unique ability. Imagine having control over this wacky bunch of cops as you take on various criminals. You have the all-rounder, Mahoney. You had Jones that made funny noises, surely that could be incorporated into a game. Hightower was really strong, many missions could make use of this. Then you had Tacklebury, who was somethingof a weapons freak, adding that dimension into the game. There were so many other colourful characters in the series that could take part in the game too. Imagine taking on Zed and his gang in one level, then on the next having Zed as part of your crew. It would rule. Throw in bonus games in which you have to humiliate Mouser or Harris, get Proctor naked in the blue Oyster bar. Man, this game would have so much potential.
Next up, Weekend at Bernies. People are always calling for originality in games, well what could be more original that dragging a corpse of a wealthy man around, pretending that he's alive, and taking advantage of this? Hey? Nothing, that's what. You could start with the party at Bernies place, and make sure that all guests believe that Bernie is okay. Turn his into a huge string puppet to make him dance, oh yes! Throw in a bit of voice recognition software, and make up a funny voice for Bernie too, fool the non playable characters into thinking Bernie is chatting away! Hoho! Making this even better would be a multiplayer beat 'em-up section. Each player picks a dead body, and makes them fight with each other, by getting the other characters to throw them around. "Take that dead body, dead man head-butt! Crap, his face caved in!"
Finally, Back to the Future, and I'm being serious now. I know these games have been done before, but as I said earlier, it was in the 8-bit days. Now surely we have the power to do things properly. It could be the greatest action adventure game ever, with skateboarding sections around the towns, scrapping with Biff at every opportunity as well as the adventure side of things that would have you trying to get your parents together for the first film, as well as trying to get back to 1985. The films were so great, and there's just so much scope there to make something really fun, that could stick faithfully to the movies. You'd even get a western bit thrown in there too, and we all know that there are too few games with a western flavour.
Still, tis a 3rd person, 3D western shooter - WITH multiplayer capability... fun, fun, fun. Especially fancy, show off spins etc. when he was dodging out from behind a wall to fire too, should be good. ;)

Seen Capcom's trailer for Red Dead Revolver yet? It's a genre that's been strangely missing from consoles for a while, but considering the U.S. passion for all things Western, I think RDR is going to take off bigtime. The trailer reminds me of Unforgiven in places, but basically it's a shooter (how could a Western game NOT be a shooter?).
Other films I'd like to see made into games are:
A Fistful of Dollars
For a Few Dollars More
The Good, The Bad and The Ugly etc.
RockStar Games could do Blazing Saddles.
