I want to know here, how many of you play or have played hockey?

I play every week for my local team and I find it a good laugh, at first I thought that it was really strange and didn't understand it but now I have been playng for 4 years I have noticed that it really is a fun game!

It's even better when you're crap at football and can't even get into an under 7's side when you are 17!

If you do ever get the chance to play it though, go on and try it, it really is a good laugh!

i only use wood sticks, i got a very nice gryphon stick which does half feel good when you play. I play centre forward but sometimes centre midfield as our best midfielder is very injury prone and not many people are too good at covering there as you have to have a good passing range. Most annoying i spent loads of time mucking about practising my penalty flicks (as i was the flick taker) we only got one all season and i was of the pitch injured at the time! Does your club only run in the summer or is it just a special progaramme. I wa looking for one in the summer but there aren't many in my area and i have had to leave my current one as im going to uni in the autumn and wouldn't be able to continue there. anyway ill join the uni club so that'll be ok.

We've got a summer league going, it's basically a load of friendlies...

I played right mid last night and then moved to centre but I usually play on the left in midfield or sometimes attack.

I ordered a dita stick in February off of a mail order company, I waited 5 months for it because htey didn't have them. In the end they got bored and sent me the Dita Giga GR 705 Stick S300. I managed to save a fiver in doing so too! Better than my last stick, the shock absorber on it broke and it made your hands go numb when you hit the ball! It really powerful too!

i bought a nive new (and too expensive for my liking) stick. My old one was a reasonable grays one but now that I have a good stick i could never go back to a worse one as the touch feels so much cleaner and crisper. What position do you play? How come your season is still going (or have you started pe season)?

I won!

4-1, its a shame that our striker is crap, he missed about 5 sitters from teh P spot that I could have easily scored!

good fun though, except I popped a massive blister on my hand.

The grip on my new stick is too sticky!

I play loads. I play centre forward and captain my local side. I was top scorer last season. Its a great game and a good laugh unfortunately our goalkeeper was rubbish so we conceded quite a few but we won more than we lost so we are happy. i'd seriously recommend if your thinking about take it up, do!
