For centuries colour has been used to change the way we live, we use it every day, whether it's the clothes we wear or the pens we use to write with at school/work, we have colour on our walls and when we stare at our TVs, we stare at colour!
Now, there are many different things to buy in the huge world which are full of colour, but i'll concentrate on consoles. We can't go a day without playing our favorite games on our consoles or PCs, so they determine the way we live our lives, I have a black console which doesn't really say much, but only recently consoles and PCs are starting to take a change for the best! they ae changing colour, this gives us a choice and makes us feel happy. Apple Mac laptops and monitors have loads of colour, N64s and the soon to come G-Cube have a good variety of colour to choose from, all of our games have huge amounts of colours blasting through our screens! we couldn't live without it, but does it change us? if we were to play a red console would it make us mad at each other and more aggressive in our games? or if we had a white console would it make us calmer? this has been proven, but to what extent can we prove this? I think i'll stick with black, looks cool, stays cool, doesn't show the dirt and doesn't stand out in the dark.

Just think, the only two senses that the games we play can affect are sight and sound. As yet, we cannot touch them, taste them, smell them. So in effect we are only having two-fifths of our senses stimulated by games, what of the other three-fifths? Obviously, Vodka helps, but if a game could be brought out designed to assault the other three senses as much as the first two, then that game would be one of the most successful of all time. Your senses would be totally immersed, you'd be interacting fully, you'd be 'in' the game. At the moment only our imaginations can help with this, but in the future......

I prefere games with brighter colours. The original resident evil for instance with it's brightly lit mansion and the Villa on Perfect Dark.

ONLY JOKING!!! It does make a difference in the actual games, but not the console colour. I don't care whether its black, grey, red or pink!! Well, maybe not pink.......

I like colour in games, it adds a simple something to a game. Either bright or dark.
Whatever it may be colours are needed to make the games more appealing to a certain age.
Mario 64 is very colourful, but it's not aimed at kids, it's simple eye candy.
Deus Ex's is very dark looking and shadowy.
So that's it we need colours to satify our eyes!
