I've had Wave Race: Blue Storm on the GameCube for quite a while now, and there is still only one thing that stands from the game and grabs my attention.

No, i'm not on about the brilliant water effects or the fact that Expert Mode is nigh-on impossible, it's the number of times you see the words "GameBoy Advance" popping-up in the scenery.

No matter where I go, or who I race against, I always seem to see the GBA logo displayed somewhere to advertise it.
You must have noticed it to, right??

I was just wondering why they show-it-off so much in this game??
I don't think the handheld wonder really needs any help in order to sell!
Maybe they're planning a GBA game from the Wave Race series?

What do you think about all this then??
Wouldn't it be great to have Wave Race in 32-bit on in the palm of you hand.... So what if the graphics wouldn't be quite as good!?
That's something that could really test the GBA's power - after seeing some recent in-game screenshots of other GBA future releases.

There is no information as of yet about a Wave Race game in production for the GBA, but perhaps those signs are hinting at a secret project - if it DOES come out, it'll have to link up to the GameCube version though.

There is, however, a GBA Jet Ski game in production at the moment and it seems to have a top-down view. It's called Jet Riders and is being produced by Bits Studios. It should be out later this year.

What i've thought is that they could be advertising it for the future - when they may release a Wave Race game that somehow makes good use of the GC-GBA compatabillity - like Sonic Adventure 2 and Rollerama (the Kirby game).

I suppose it's possible that a GBA version of the game will be released sometime in the future, but I haven't heard anything about the possibility of a conversion.

I think it's more likely Nintendo are just advertising their handheld, and are just taking advantage of the fact it won't cost them anything to plug the GBA, with the game being made by Nintendo an’ all.
