I would like to upload files to my instant site,then create a link to an individual file so that people can download them. I am talking about single mp3 files and small videos and some .exe files that I have created.

This thread was asking for similar functionality for Word and PDF files - looks like some additional functionality will be available in the next updates.
Another option would be for you to 'host' the file on another normal (non-Instant) Freeola website and just link to the files that you've uploaded via FTP. Unfortunately FTP access to Instant sites isn't available.
