Ok i have a fairly new computer but the problem is i have loads of files from demos and i cant delete them wiht out deleteing files which are important.

So i was thinking of saving my files on to CD and then just install windows again.

Then my mates said thatit would delete the files but memoery would still be taken up by it, or simething like that. He than said that you can get floppy discs which format your whole HardDrive leaving almost brand new.

I then asked where do i get it from and thats when he came with the replie "i dont know".

So what i need to know is how do i get it and also does it work and do what he says it does and what else does it do. Also once i have done that how do i install windows again?

This is what you should do, Im guessing your worried because the uninstall program warns about shared files its trying to delete that appear not to be in use anymore, well its up to you what you do in that case, most of the time these files are not needed but they take up hardly any space on your hard disk so leaving them there wont harm your PC.

Don't format a hard-disk and reinstall unless you know what you're doing; you'll need to reinstall drivers and there's a risk that you won't have backed up all the files that you need. It's a messy business.
