Whenever this kind of thing happens I am always filled with a certain amount of worry, or anxiety.
But like most things that you see on the news I feel these things almost passively. Not in a the callous sense of the word. Just in that I have no direct link to what is happening.
Well, this time what has happened is a little closer to home. The girls live, and went missing in Soham, Cambs. Which is one of my neighbouring villages. So close that I know, and went to school with many people from Soham.
It is a little bit too close for comfort. It's so true that you never expect this kind of thing to happen where you live.
Anyway, I hope that everything turns out fine. Like most, have a certain amount of stubborn optimism and equaly a bit of trepidation about the whole situation.
But one thing is for sure I will be watching things a lot more closely than I usualy do.
Rest assured that I hope anyone missing in this way will turn up safe and sound, you can only feel depressed that such things take place on a daily basis.
