While visiting Exeter during my holiday last week, we went into McDonalds. I knew they had recently changed their staff uniforms but I didn't know they had changed the whole look.
The plastic red and yellow style was replaced with a new trendy art deco look coloured with browns, greens and oranges. They even got rid of those plastic booths and brought in some wacky chairs and seating arrangements. It really felt different and judging by how busy it was, it seems to be paying off.
So what's up with that? It's like Starbucks have become the old McDonalds and McDonalds want to be like the old Starbucks (before they turned into a huge franchise and started cutting corners) They've even improved their coffee too. Now my mum orders it instead of her usual diet coke. Maybe they really are trying to steal some of Starbucks customers. I wonder if they provide free wifi too?
So have all the McDonalds changed in your area too? What do you think of the new look? Unfortunately you still have to clear away your own stuff (for the benefit of the next customers as the staff are so slow). It's not like in Singapore where everyone stopped and looked at me in horror when I dared to clear my own tray away. Honestly, it was if I had just punched a baby in the face. :/
NO! must.resist.junk food. Must. administer. porn...

this man presents a compelling arguement.
especially if you factor in the addition of half a pot of McD`s bbq sauce.
i had to live on burger king for a couple of weeks when i first moved to holland and was in temporary accomodation. i`ve not been able to touch it since, but damn, the big bacon cheese burger was good.
But then I promised myself to steer clear of fast food for a while.
Damn, now I'm hungry.
I still think Burger King has the better tasting burgers but McDonalds has the better chips.
And yes, most of them have Wi-fi and have had for ages.
