That’s why rareware, or rare as most people call them, was an essential developer for Nintendo during the era of the N64.
Now if you would notice I put was, and no I didn’t mean is, and I did this because the N64 was dire in getting more developers to make games for them meaning it was up to Rare and Nintendo to make the games that would be able to give the `64 life.
But now we have the GameCube which is becoming the net SNES as in the era of the SNES it did well and developers where doing there thing on it, developing, and it could of survived with out Rare, although they brought the Donkey Kong series to it.
Any way, now we have the GameCube and as of yet Rare has not released any games, with only Starfox, donkey Kong racing and a perfect dark game being speculated to be in development, making it seem that Rare isn’t really bothered to make games for the console, or they have so many in development we don’t know about that its taking their time to make them.
Of course there were the rumours that they were being brought out by Activision or even just going multi-format by themselves.
So say that happens, well I cant see them developing for only one console so all games will go multi-format so no console can boost about having rare games, even if Activison buy them they will be on all consoles.
But if them do go to one console only Perfect dark, Banjo and Conker will be on that console as donkey Kong, star fox etc. are Nintendo’s.
Ok 3 great games but I could live with out them.
You see I wouldn’t lose any sleep if rare went, there are great games on the `cube already with more to come, and 3rd party developers getting interested.
