Recently I have been going to the cinema quite alot and thus have seen a few films(duh!). Because i'm such a nice guys I'll give you the low down on what to see and what to avoid like the plague.

SpiderMan- To be honest, I thought this would be very dull and bad so as you would expect I was plesently surprised to find out that it was execelent. Unlike Batman or superman, spiderman see peter parker change form a geeky school boy into the greatest hero probably ever. The story is good as it follows Peters life through the ups and downs of his new gift but as you would expect with this type of film the action holds its own too. Everyone can relate to Peter Parker, something you can't do with any other super hero, which is good. He gets the girl(whos a fox) and saves new york. Well worth going to see.

Resident Evil- Reviews say its bad, but I liked it. Predictable yes, but still enjoyable enough to stop me from falling asleep. Like tha game the film has plenty of *jumpy* moments which you see coming a mile off but still jump anyway. Nicely it works in elements from the games into the storyline answell. Fans of the game(like me) will think its good but eveyone else will think its not so hot.

Minority Report- THIS is a good film, very good. This isn't all flasy effects, it has the story to back it up. I don't want to give too much away but in the future they can predict crime and Tom Cruise is a member of the future police unit. Twists and turns aplenty and as I said a gripping story mean this deffinitly gets the thumbs up. A Must see.

Austin Powers:Goldmember- I wasn't sure about this one beforehand. I had see trailers and to be honest i thought it looked more crappy than funny. I'm glad my mates dragged me along though because it is one of the funniest films around. The crowd in the cinema gave a great reaction to all the gags, it really is laugh out loud stuff. If you liked the other austin powers films this is more of the same. Very funny and well worth seeing, Austin still has his mojo baby. :P

MIB2- I saw this tonight, and I thought it was pants. I yawned the whole way through, trust me you have seen this all before. Predictable, dull, uninteresting. TL Jones and will smith give good enough peformances but something still lacks, this was way too overhyped. Avoid.

Hope some of you find my brief guide helpfull. Some of you really should get out and see either Minority report or Goldmember. Stop playing games for one evening and get out for Gods sake. :P

I can honestly say not one of these films interest me. Apart from Minority Report (which might be worth a rent) all those films are sequels or a new version of an existing idea. Where's the originality?

Spider-man is a fantastic film. In fact it's the best superhero film since Batman way back in the 80's. Men in Black II is only 80 minutes, so technically it's not even a feature film, and it sounds like nothing more than an extended run of cameos. Austin Powers III does exactly what it says on the box. It does have an annoying trailer though, where plebs are given 2 seconds to say something positive, or try impersonating Austin, in which they inevitably come across as, well, plebs. The Lawless heart is a brilliant British film for people with a mental age higher than 16. Unfortunately, despite being damn good, it's opening seen is so good that it eclipses the other moments of comedy genius. It features Bill Nighy trying to chat up a French bird and I'm sure the person in front of me wet themselves. But it's funny in an intelligent joke way. Like the best jokes on the Simpsons. Read my Lips is a chronically over-rated French film, gosh did I just say that? I hope Goatboy isn't reading :-) It got really good reviews but was overly long, and I watched it in the butt-clenchingly uncomfortable screen 8 at the Trocadero, which sucked. And the film was just average. If it had been in English it would have bombed. Instead it just bombed in French instead. Nine Queens is an excellent Argentinian heist film, which Guy Ritchie will probably rip off next film round. And my local cinemas are not showing anything even halfway decent so that's all for now. Even the bloody university cinema, which shows good films normally, has joined up to some hairbrained scheme where it shows disney films throughout the Summer. grrrrrrr

I thought MIB 2 was great!
I thought it was funny when Will Smith tried to free himself from the tubing at the end, when the countdown was on.

Well ok some joke were good but other than that I would advise you think twice about going to see MIB2 seeing as there are better alternatives.
