"Is this Camera any good as a webcam"

Hi, i'm looking for a digital camera / web cam for personal use, but im on a budget. I was wonderin if anyone owns the CREATIVE LABS PC CAM 300 USB DIGITAL / VIDEO CAMERA FOR PC, as this really caught my eye, but i was wonderin if it worked as a webcam or not? can anyone help me?

yer, like a webcam. thanx for your help. I think i will go for this then. That means that i have a decent digital camera and i can talk to friends usin it as a webcam :oD.

you mean like a webcam? Netmeeting suports all cameras big and small.

I think i will get this, ive been looking for a digital camera for a while and this does look like a good deal. If i plug it into my computer could i use the video feature with MS Netmeetin and talk to people live? Fanx for your help.

It's creative labs so it's a good build and will last a long time, other than that, it's a budget camera and you get what you pay for, looks like a very good deal though. Feels nice too and I think it's quite light can't remeber so it's ideal for a day in day out kinda camera.

If you want to use a webcam to broadcast images to the internet you should buy a camera that will have the software with it as it will save you a lot of money.

I have got a Logitech Quickcam Web and I get all of the software to use it!

You can only use it though if you have an FTP connection to a server as that is how they upload the images.
