What do you think are the Good points and bad points of this game???

Soul Edge (or whatever it was) and it's successor Soul Calibur, were top games.

Street Fighter II was the breakthrough game, and one of the best ever. SSBM is a great game, but as far as fighting games go, there are a great many games which surpass it. But SSBM is more "fun"

Another thing about SSBM is the speed at which it works. It's one of the fastest games I've ever played, even with four people going at one time.

Smash Brothers Melee is the best fighter of it's kind, which basically means that it's better than it's N64 predecessor.

Whether you prefer it over something else is your personal opinion.

I'd personally choose it over any other beat-em up.

Out of all of the ones I've played - that includes all the realistic beat-em ups as well as Street Fighter style cartoony ones.
It gives you more freedom for fight your own way and style and places more emphasis on quick spontaneous skill rather than learning large button combinations.

As for Power Stone, I've not played it, but I don't think that a 3D game could offer the same tight control of Smash brothers.
I've always wanted to try it though.

I agree, when i play SSBM first time around i thought this is just like powerstone. But then i got bored of the arenas in SSBM, yer ok they move about abit and sometimes half of the level gets wiped out, even this gets boring after 3 or 4 goes on that level. But thats nothing compared to the power stones series. There are different routes and you actually determin where you wanna go next on the level. I have to say i prefer power stone series as a multiplayer fighter then SSBM.

It a great game even though I was brought up on sega I still think that it great that old characters are adapting to future gaming without them we may as well play with action man or worse playing in the sunshine!

Well, that's a matter of opinion. SSBM has had me hooked for ages, and the only bad points are that the backgrounds lack detail and that it's too damn hard!

Good points

Its big
will take long time to fully complete

bad points

too big
gets boring very quickly
shallow
fighting "cheaply" is just as likely to win as fighting "skilfuly"
Only a few modes that are worth bothering with

Well, I think the first Tekken was the best out of the series. You may think I'm Tekken the mick (ahahahahaha!) but I've played the others and none of them seemed to have what Tekken 1 did. Maybe it's because it's the first game I bought on my PS1. I dunno, I've just always thought that.
