There have been many riots around the world from people who are campaigning to allow animals to have equal rights in games. A spokesperson for the campaigning group gave a statement last night:
“We are appalled that this has been allowed to happen to such a nice animal, we will be pressing charges against Sega due to the fact that they exploited this animals life. There have been many different occasions where we have asked companies to just look after the animals they use and to not hurt them and they have complied with us. Sega however, just seem to have ignored us and it has resulted in this.”
Although this is the first case of an animal fatality in gaming, it is far from being the first injury to an animal. GonGon’s niece, ‘Baby’ was seriously injured last week after she fell nearly 3 miles to the ground below after falling off of one of the mazes suspended in the air, Sega said that safety nets had been stolen but other sources say that Sega did not even bother with safety nets at all.
Sega are not the only company to be guilty though, Team17 are also being questioned about the pain and suffering that may thousands of worms encountered during the making of the games ‘Worms.’ It has been revealed to us that many thousands of worms have been secretly killed in battles staged inside the Team17 studios. Many hundreds of sheep were also blown after having jet packs strapped to their backs and then being hurtled into the sky.
“All we can hope for is that both of these companies are brought to justice,” is what one protester told us. “Many animals have been seriously injured because of accidents and stupid experiments in the gaming industry, we need this to be brought to an end. I really feel sorry for GonGon’s family and I know that they are threatening to press charges against Sega for their crimes.”
A judge is expected to pass a ruling next week that will end all cruelty to animals in games. Special licences will have to be issued before any activities are started and they will all have to be watched by an official from the World Animal Association.

I bet somebody somewhere has actualy complained about an animal being killed in one game or another!
I heard somebody complain that worms was too violent once!
Probably because they added blood splattering to it!
(hey, it amy be a stupid comment, but we all knew someone would do it... may as well get it out the way now...)

To get 2 replies before the topic sinks to the bottom of the forums!
