Hi Thanks again for your response - I would really appreciate it if you could consider this additional customisation - I understand what you are saying about possibly confusing people - but if you look at my site www.petercox.ukdesigners.org I hope you would agree that if the grey could be made green the same colour as everything else it would improve the overall look of the site
Other than that I am extemly impressed with the site builder package and have found very quick and easy to get to grips with
regards

At the moment the background for the side menu and narrow area surrounding the content cannot be change. We will be making a series of improvements in the future to Instant Sites that will all even more customisation.

It's a little tricky though, too much customisation confuses people rather than helping them.

Hi excellent! - this info was really helpful - thank you - just one thing - the screen that you view when the site is live seems to be in three parts - I have now changed the main page colour ie the centre and also the outer part of the screen ??border?? - but there is still a section between these two that retains the orginal scheme colour setting - do you know if this can also be chnaged? -
thanks for taking the time to help

To change the site background colour go to 'Colours, Fonts & Styling' from the main builder page.

At the moment you cannot change the background colour of individual page as this is set by the template you have chosen.

A complicated work around for standard pages is to go and edit them and right click the table cell surrounding you content. In the menu that appears select edit cell properties, go to the advanced tab of the window that appears and set the background colour here.
