Look, no offensive, but the FF games are all really good (yeah, and I am right in my opinion) and the way of being a good guy will appeal many hero fans eg. I don't know.
But I, hate it being the good guy after a while. Its not the storyline, graphics, etc. But the chartacters won't bother, because they have effect on the game.
If, like me, you're fed up being on the good side, reply please. But, an idea could be like this.
FFXI: ( I know, its a PS1 game, but)
You're main character is Kuja, on the main enemies in the game. You have a quest to destroy the girl-look-a-like Zidane and his crew to destroy you. You will train in the underworld wilderness to get the easy help from the final boss, Necron. If Kuja dies in anyway, Necron will take over and kill the Zidane crew.
You can take over ships, buildings, cities, people and make them slaves. You have the total desruction in your hands.
If you agree, reply.... or if you don't, you have your own opinion.

There are so many games where you either play the bad guy or have the choice either way, I'm not going to bother listing them here.

I'm listening but I hear nothing.
In the old Pokemon game I had (blue) when the Rocket team asked you to join them and it automaticly said no, I think you should have the choice to say Yes or No. Then the game takes to different paths which will add extra life to it.
But I have never played an FF game so I cant comment on that...
