That topic name will annoy lots of you Sega fans. But its true, Sega and Nintendo don't advetise enough. This is where Sony have come through, if you ask me. They have done brilliantly in the advertising department of the gaming world. You see adverts at football grounds, on TV, TV program sponsors everywhere!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think, if Sega and Nintendo are going to keep with the PS2s selling numbers, they are going to need to advertise more. Especially Sega, as the last time I saw a Dreamcast advert was about 9 months ago.

Sega have advertised recently (MSR on TV) but only twice to my knowledge, which is woefully shortsighted of them.
