I was out hitting a tennis ball about with my hockey stick just now when I heard a buzzing, there it was, a big fat-arsed wasp, just looking for trouble!

It landed on the floor and started walking across the grass and as I wasn't wearing anything on my feet, I decided to move it. I put my stick down in front of it and luckily it walked onto it, I then remembered a big old web I saw earlier today so I headed towards it. Just thinking to myself that there would only be a small spider living there and that the wasp would be too small I leaned right up to the web and flicked the wasp off of the stick onto the web.
Out ran the HUGEST spider ever and it just jumped onto the wasp, the wasp then tried to sting it back…

By this time, I was over the other side of the garden screaming!

But anyway, they just fought for ages with the wasp trying to escape and this big spider attacking it! This mama had fangs about half a centimetre long! Its leg span was easily over 7cm!

It really made me shiver when it moved; it was like the time I trod on the snail with nothing on my feet!

But they fought for about 10 minutes, I was hypnotised by it, who would win? Then the vital blow came from the wasp, delivering a sting right to the spiders body, the spider ran back into the hole while the wasp tried to scurry away. But in a twist of fate, the spider came out with one last attack and caught the wasp, promptly wrapping it up in silk and killing it.

Now I’ve got a huge spider in my garden and after seeing what it did to the wasp, I don’t know what to do!

This spider could probably eat me!

Anyway, the moral of this story is, ‘Spiders eat wasps so don’t kill spiders!’
