a good game for nintendo would be, in me own opinion, a nintendo version of phantasy star online. you download a charicter off the net from an official site, like samus, or C.Falcon, or marth, or falco l, so that all the different charicters dont take up memory being choosable from the start, and then you can play as that charicter with a more or less completly different set of moves. i think that would be a good idea.
I'd expect a character model with all it's weapons and sound effects to take up quite a lot of memory, so for this idea to take place, you'd probably either need Broadband, a lot of patience, and maybe either a hard disk drive or a Mega Mem 16 from Datel.
However, if the majority of characters were on the game's disk (with 1.5GB there's plenty of space) then having one or two extras to download wouldn't be so bad.
