With the news that Goldberg's move to WWE is now 80% complete, and with rumous flying about Scott Steiner's return to the ring, my question is...how much will these guys actually do? What will they do for entertainment/matches/ratings?

I've never seen either of them wrestle before but I know what they look like, and apart from Steiner's rather muscular body they both look like your average main event brawler. Goldberg reminds me of a larger version of Steve Austin.

Are these two guys, especially Goldberg, actually good for the WWE?

I think Goldberg is not a bad wrestler and will do wonders for the WWE's television ratings. Ive only seen him wrestle a few times though so what do I know?!!

Ive never seen Steiner wrestle but he sounds quite good.

I see we all have mixed views then aye.

Well, personally, I dont like Steiner all that much but Goldberg's moves were pretty cool.

Back when I didnt have Sky Sports I could only watch Nitro and Thunder each week and I liked it. Goldberg was pretty cool I thought. But, ive not seen him for ages..... not heard about him or anything.
Would be fun to see him compete against people like Brock Lesnar.
The thing I cant see Goldberg good at is keeping up a good match with people like HHH and The Rock. His character was just like what Brock Lesnars was when he first came, just totally dominating all of his opponents and winning each matches in minutes. If he came to the WWE I think everyone would expect to see him continue that...... but it doesnt fit into the WWE storylines or anything. I have no clue what he would do.

As for Steiner, I didnt see many of his matches.... I usually saw him doing promo's (bad ones) and showing off his muscles mostly. Even during matches he would start doing puss-ups and flex. Then he would pick his opponent up and throw them around the ring a bit, picking them up and all.
I wouldnt say he was a bad wrestler but he is just boring and annoying.

They both dont fit into the WWE, it doesnt suit them. Out of them both, I think Steiner would be most suited to a role somewhere but Goldberg, nah. Unless they want to put him on Smackdown and completely ruin the cruiserweight division by making him have squash matches with all the cruiserweights..... as they are the only people who he *would* be able to squash.

If they are signing, I hope the WWE doesnt do something too big with them like putting them in the main events each week and everything. They should just come, be quiet and just wrestle at the most. That would be alright.
Then they could work something into a fued or whatever.

Just my thoughts.

I'd like to see Goldberg in the WWE just so Y2J can whip his @ss in a match.

Goldberg, in the WWE?

After all the smack he's talked about Jericho?

About HHH?

About the WWE in general?

He's my favourite wrestler, but I doubt he will ever get in there.

But Steiner is overrated, IMHO. And doesn't he have Drop Foot Syndrome, or something like that?

If Steiner returns to the ring I hope the WWE hire his valet Midjah (Sp) as she was well fit *Drools*

Goldberg is crap. I never liked Goldberg. His dominating presence reminded me of Austin, and so di his look, and I don't like Austin. :-)

Steiner's not bad. I've seen him wrestle up close when I was at the WWA, and he can be quite entertaining.

Very muscular build and very strong - I saw him hold Nash above his head for about 10 seconds once in WCW. It probably would've been longer but he was dropkicked by DDP.

I disagree. Not with the comments about WHY they have been brought in, as this is obviously true, but with the comments on Goldberg's style. I would comapre him more to The Rock than Stone Cold because of the way he explodes his moves. For The Spear, see Rock's clothesline.

I can see attitude problems cropping up and them heading the same way as people like Hall and Austin. I think that they would be brought in for a short spell to boost ratings as The WWE does not need anymore main eventers as they have plenty along with the talents of others like RVD, Edge and Brock Lesnar.

I still believe that the future lays in cruiserweight style matches which although are short are very entertaining and fast paced. The usual main event brawl fests with the 20 minutes worth of scrapping and typical kicking out of the opponents finishers have just gotten too boring.

For drawing the fans - Yes
For Entertainment - No

I've seen both of them wrestle in the old WCW. Goldberg is basically the same character as Stone Cold.

Steiner is possibly the better wrestler. Very muscular indeed but as i say, neither of the two are very entertaining.
