"I need 10 people quick..."

Just choose a random number between 1 and 10 for me, a little mathematical thing I'm trying to work out. Thanks.

I was writing a story for a website and needed an order of entrance for a part of the story. I thought calling it a theory would save agro :)

What did i get wrong? I wrote 3 correct statements. Note the use of the word: 'I think'.

Is that an admission that it's dull?

If the point wasn't to see if everyone posted whole numbers (after all, it says nothing of non-integer values) or simply to collect all the whole numbers from 1 to 10 in a random (although it's not actually random) order, then just what was the point?

Um, I think the answer to your research is pretty obvious too.

If you get 10 people to give a 'random' number between 1 and 10, which isn't really random because you don't want repeat answers, then your results will be:
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10

I'm no mathematician, but that's not going to be a very interesting project...
