and have been for the last...26 hours and counting. When I went to sleep and when I swam in my pool earlier, I wore it.

And when I wear headphones, it looks hilarious, like I'm an imigrant.

Well, that's my tidbit for the day. And GTA3 has given me a reflex to push the Return key whenever I finish a sentense :(

Once again I agree. I think this has just been taken out of hand.

I am totally against racism no matter who it's aimed at, but I don't think Lawless' intended any racism in his original message.

It's like the topic of 'mother-in-law' jokes. Not all mother-in-laws are like what the comedians say, but the audience still laughs (in most cases anyway).

I know!

They put a towel on their head, give it a few twists and they god a bloody monument on their head!

Still I found out the secret to it the other day:
Rest towel over head so that face is covered...
Twist round towel until blood circualtion to head starts to become limited...
Flick towel onto head, it should stay there and you look like a complete idiot as well!

I think you should read what you've said again. I didn't even mention the word 'immigrant'. I was quoting previous messages there!

That's my point mate. A towel isn't a turban at all. And people who wear turbans aren't necessarily immigrants. If Lawless had joked that wearing a towel on his head made him look like a Seikh, that would have been acceptable (though not THAT funny!). But instead the implication was that all Seikhs are immigrants/all immigrants are Seikhs... and that carries racist undertones.

'the way people are'?? Quite simply, that's not the way people are. Immigrants don't wear towels on their heads... do they?

But anyway, time to let sleeping dogs lie...

Edgy should learn the definition of "immigrant" i think. In case the previous sentence confused you the defintion is someone from another country comes into a different country. This is called "immagrating"

*Tells Edgy to go and study Dictionary*

You should think a bit more about the message you send in cos it could offend others and get u grief!

I know what you're saying but a towel ain't exactly a turban. Dom Joly, the bloody good comedian who specialises in practical jokes, pretends to be foreigners from Sweden and the Netherlands, and people laugh!

There's being racist and there's having a friendly laugh because of the way people are. It's not like Lawless' was actually saying anything bad against any races was it?

It's hardly something to lose sleep over illzen. I well know al of the below, but I was using ignorance as a factor of humour. Now, whether you consider that as humor is your view, but I never once insulted people of different races.

So shush, child.
