Like alot of people I am a big fan of the RPG series but question is when will Squaresoft stop making sequels? Personally I think the 12 will be the last
Square need to re-invent the wheel with the FF series. The peak of the series was undoubtably FF6 and FF7, it's been downhill since, with more emphasis on looks and FMV than on actual gameplay.
i think they have 13 on the boards already!
Originally the game was named FINAL fantasy because the game designer said he'd quit if it's didn't perform- it could have been his last game. A few years back he said he'd change the series name after about the 10th game. However, seeing as he's now quit the company (did so half way through FF8 development I think, owing to how poor some people think the last discs are), the game may just keep going.
