It has been reported today that gamers from around the world have caught a disease from the controller they use to play on their respective games machine, in this case Xbox, Gamecube and the PS2.

Many people have phoned in about the controller attaching itself to their hands after long periods of video gaming, Dr. Phil Gates a scientist who thinks video gaming is bad, has come forward to explain the situation

"Yes, people playing video games for long periods of time may become attached to the controller, as we can see from Exhibit A here"

(Points to a monkey with a PS2 controller stuck to its hand)

"We are not sure what caused this, but we believe it’s from sweat reacting with the chemicals in the plastic"

Microsoft (the owners of the xbox console) has put forward this statement concerning the matter: -

"We are deeply sorry for what has happened, we are not sure what has caused the controller to stick to your hands. If you buy the Bill Gates Controller removing hand cream and the Bill Gates Controller removing hand cream applying set for £29.99 your problem will be sorted, terms and conditions apply"

Nintendo and Sony failed to make a statement.

Gamers from around the country are trying to get used to their newfound disorder such as Mr. G from Langley mill who explains

"I was just playing Rogue Leader for a couple of hours and suddenly my hands were stuck onto the controller, but I WANT, I mean want to play more games, I MUST buy more games."

Anyone with this problem please pick up the phone and call us, we have scientists on all lines to help you.

This brings forward the question of "Is video gaming a bad influence and should it be stopped?"

Game shops around the country are being flooded by controller disease infected people, strangely not asking for a refund or a way to remove the controller but they demand games, crawling over the counter like possessed zombies searching for prey.

Our news team had to remove our crew from the shops due to overcrowding. This Controller Disease is a serious condition and mustn’t be taken lightly, You may become agitated and addicted to your respected console, this can be cured by watching TV instead of playing games, watching this news channel to be exact. This is Jill Homeless reporting to you from our news studio in London.

Rofl, you just reminded me of my friend, when he had jam all over his fingers he picked up his xbox controller, now the thumbstick does'nt work properly and the controller is proper sticky.

Note to yourself kids - Don't eat jam whilst gaming.

My hands got stuck to my controller one time. However this was due to a trifle fight that we had had earlier in the day, and the analog sticks siezed up about an hour later.
