Barbarian too. THAT advert with Wolf from Gladiators. The decapitation. Ah, those were the days. From Yie Ar Kung Fu and Target Renegade through to discovering Settlers on Amiga and never leaving the room again...

i used to enjoy that "*sigh*... not again" air he had about him ashe kicked the severed head off the screen and dragged the body behind him.

Speedball is game from years ago that was top fun and is well remembered by a lot of us.
as for your paintball query, i`d imagine the only difference is what types of cover there are, paintball is paintball.
note - i know nothing about paintball ;)

too bad no remakes have bested the amiga version. knock out mode was awesome. Start against the worst and fight against the best at the end. Using the same team from start to finish.
plus, to this day, the "ice cream" vendor while an injured player is carried off is one of the coolest little touches in any game. that and the green fella who collected the severed heads in barbarian.. again, that looked comical on the c64 :)
