Now that all 4 next-gen console have been released, well really it's just 3 now with the death of the Dreamcast. I was thinking that only one of the consoles really has a Game(s) to buy the console for, being a dedicated "Ninty" this hurts to say, it's the Xbox with actually 2 titles in my opinion to buy the large black box for. They are Halo, of course, and Amped, debatable but in my opinion the best Snowboarding game ever and possibly the best extreme sports title also.
Being a "Ninty" obviously I own a GC, and I bought the console because Nintendo are original and make awesome games, but the game I thought was the reason to buy the console for was Rogue Leader but now I own it the game isn't as good as expected. Visually the game is unsurpassed but the gameplay seems to be lacking the edge. In the near future their should be a large amount of games which will make people want to buy the GC but at the moment there are none.
As for the PS2 I also feel the console lacks the game which will cause people to part with £240 for the console and that special game. MGS2 also seemed to be lacking as it was too short and not that challenging at all.
We all know why the PS2 has been such a sucess and thats the Playstation brand name created by the PS1 and the name alone has meant that thousands of people across Europe have spent £200 on Sony Black box.
In the past, all console have been released with one top notch title. For instance the N64 with Super Mario 64 and Goldeneye, the PS1 with Wipeout,
to a lesser extent the DC with Sonic Adventure and all other console prior to these have had atleast 1 great title on release with Sega & Nintendo they have been either Sonic or Mario.
This is just my opinion and it can be debated, if you agree disagree please give your input. And as usual with my topics if the is unoriginal feel free to take the P**s out of me.
P.S You can also debate how dedicted a "Ninty" I am. I have owned all the Nintendo console, but like most I will pay the games on any format I just want good games. In my opinion the best come from Nintendo.

i know what u mean i brought the GC because i liked games on it, and u know what kinda games u will get mario etc.
as for the reasons to buy an xbox i know what u mean on that too. i also would like amped and halo but i realised that games like them will come out on GC. like to replace amped we have 1080 white storm soon to be released and for halo we know die hard and metriod prime are soon to come out and theres got to be a high chance that a perfect dark will come out on it (even if they go multi format)
