Mario and Narcotics:

When we think of our favourite plumber, Super Mario, we always look back to what great adventures he has had, for example Super Mario 3, and what more adventures journeys he will no doubt embark on, a good example being Mario Sunshine.

However Mario can never let us down and we all have great faith and loyalty to him and his games, at least here in the Nintendo forum.
Today I will uncover the truth behind Mario and reveal the horror that we all thought nothing of - Mario and Narcotics.

''What's this?'' you all say, ''How can you associate our beloved Mario with such nonsense?''
Well I assure you all, if you do decide to read this through you will understand and see the real world and how it all is. I'm not trying to disgrace Mario, or his lanky Luigi of a brother as a matter of fact, but just give you an alternative way of seeing things and I apologize if some people are not happy by the end of this, but in my opinion, it must be said!

If you read on, you will join me and be shown the truth, if you choose not to, you can return to your normal lifestyle and forget this was ever brought up.

Here are several examples of how Mario is involved in drug-related games.
Those Nintendo chaps make things very subtle don’t they!

1) Mario eats "magic mushrooms" and 'thinks' that he grows bigger. Now magic mushrooms or 'shrooms are actually Class A drugs when prepared. Magic mushrooms may cause hallucinations - one example is that objects may become distorted. In this case everything seems smaller than 'Super Mario'.

2) Mario eats "fire flowers" (a.k.a. opium poppies) and 'thinks' he can throw fire-balls. After all, the opium poppy is known for its magical and mysterious properties.

3) Mario smokes a leaf and 'thinks' that he's a flying raccoon!
Remember Super Mario 3, when he touches the leaf a puff of smoke covers him and then he is the raccoon... that puff of smoke is him smoking the leaf – he can’t get enough! Marijuana is known to 'heighten' the senses.

4) Mario eats a "star" and becomes "invincible", can you say star-dust (a.k.a. coke). Cocaine is a powerful stimulant so explains his great feeling of power. The buzz creates a sense of well-being for the plump little dude, making him feel alert and confident.

5) Mario dresses up in costumes and assumes their "power"/"likeness", for example the frog suit; only someone who was 'stoned' would do this, think about it!

6) Just look at the worlds Mario runs around in, can you say LSD trip? Everything wears a strange smile: clouds, power-ups, grassy hills, etc.
Also notice how Mario travels in and out of "pipes".
His arch nemesis is a giant talking, fire-breathing dragon/dinosaur, a.k.a. Bowser!

7) Why do you think Mario became a doctor in the first place, eh?
To get his dirty hands on some tranquillisers, obviously! He uses them to counter the effects of stimulant drugs such as coke, and he even uses them as an alternative to other drugs; remember he's always carrying one of those large pills!
That's not all thought as he can also obtain some special K or ketamine, which has painkilling properties and can cause psychedelic experiences that may be disturbing, which explains his adventure in Super Mario 2 on the Snes doesn't it? Wierd creatures that shoot projectiles out of thier mouths, I'm targeting the one and only Birdo here, how did Mario recover from all those terrible things that he saw?

Luigi surely plays a large part in this and I have the feeling he is Mario's hook-up and helps him to obtain all these narcotics.
Anyway, I won't torture anyone for any longer. I assume I have done enough damage and once again I apologize if any of this, or even all of this disturbed you.

I have spoken, cheers for reading.

I said pretty much what you said in a topic of mine a while back... though not as detailed. You know your drugs, don't you!
