This is a public broadcast by the royal society for the protection and conservation of gaming heroes.

I’m here today to plea to you all to give just 2 pounds a month or anything you can to some of the world most neglected gaming heroes. Once in their prime giving children (and the odd adult) wide smiles completing levels and doing tricks, now sleeping in an alley way begging for coppers.
They have been dropped by the fat cats and stamped ‘un-hip’, left for the circling vultures. With no where to go and nothing to do they wander the streets in despair.

Your money will go towards various schemes helping to rejuvenate golden oldies or new sparks of talent that just missed the mark, getting them back on track to the way they were.
One organization that runs a lot of these schemes is the GBA: The gamer-befriending-association.
Here’s their spokesperson and founder Tony Rainbird.

Tony: “We try to help those in need. All our workers are volunteers but there are costs such as phone bills and rentals. Because of this we survive solely on your donations to make the world a better place for the victims of the gaming market. Our main scheme is to get them off the streets and into accommodation. Then we can try and recuperate them, get them qualifications for other jobs and even in some cases bring new hope to their gaming career with a new game. We’ve helped such people as solidsnake and a curtain well-known blue hedgehog. We’re not going to stop helping and I hope you do the same”

As you can see they’re making a real difference and so can you with a small contribution. But don’t take it from me, here’s the real deal.
Because of his sudden drop from fame it has left him scared so he does not want to reveal his identity. Luckily his story ended on a slightly happier note after being picked up by GBA and then given a chance to star in his own game cube game! It brings a tear to my eye.
Because of this he has allowed us to take an interview…

----------------

*Purple background with a shadowed face in black. The shadow puts on his red hat and begins to speak*

MR X: “years a go I was-a big success. My brother and me stared in-a load of a-games. But then hard times came and I was a-forced to sell my green uniform and plumbers kit.”

*MR X begins to cry softly and a hand appears from behind the camera with a tissue*

MR X: “I ended up in a bar some-a-where in Wales. I was-a found and taken to a clinic. GBA helped me get a place to live and get me back onto-a my-a feet. A few mouths later I got a call from the big boss and I scored a game on the GBA. I felt great.”

Presenter’s voice: “and did success follow easily after that?”

MR X: “not quite. I had-a dry spell. But I got on a training course to make me-a next gen compatible. Within days of finishing the course I got my biggest break yet staring in a kinda ghost busting game and the rest is history.”

Presenter’s voice: “Mr. lu, I mean X, thank you for you time”

-----------------

These people can do nothing for them selves at the moment but give them the right tools and they’ll create a better life. 2 pounds a month can provide a desperate character with the means of living. All they need is your cooperation and money.
Most have never been to school, they had a break in early life and then were forgoten leaving them no knowledge of the world. I remember once meeting a red squirrel that used to star on the n64 who thought selulite was a type of fat free lager. But there is hope for these sad cases you.

Now you see you can change lives. So please send 2 pounds or all that you can to the following address:
